Hi there folks, if you have any questions or queries about anything to do with the tables, feel free to ask me in here!
After watching this video, we should open up a some form of massive showroom (bigger than the one we currently have) and have Rodney as the lead showman. He's such a natural at it!
Woodworking Planshow to Woodworking Plans for In your Denis table demo video, the game vault floor appears to be a fairly thin sheet of wood over empty space. Is the vault floor sturdy and is there support underneath, in the middle of the table?
Woodworking Planshow to Woodworking Plans for It also shows the leaves being pulled out of a black folding storage bag. Does this come with the table? I did not see it sold as an accessory on the website.
Boardgametables.com notes that their inset toppers will bend and bow downward a bit at first and should be flipped over periodically for some time. Do the geeknson table leaves also curve into the table over time?
Does the Denis still come with white strips on the inside walls of the game vault if you don't purchase the LED light option?
Have had a Denis now for 8 months now so happy to answer any questions. A few teething issues, as the legs are a bit of a faff to secure in in, but honestly it's so much more comfortable to game at then the old ikea table we had.
I would recommend anyone thinking about ordering one to also get the strake board. Being able to split the table is really helpful.

Do you foresee any longevity issues with the rail system? Are there any scratches accumulating along your rail?
Rathskellers claims that one of their most important innovations is the aluminum railing system, and they say in their faq:
"Gamers and friends tend to slide the accessories and mishandle them. Our initial prototypes used a wooden railing system, but there were various problems with misuse. So we thought about a good looking and much more durable alternative. Ask anyone with a gaming table with a railing system made from wood and you will get a response that small marks or even wood splitting occurs after heavy usage."
Are you thinking of ordering it soon? Ok. How much was that exact table. I get exited but I'm guessing it's around $4000.
The 3'7" x 5'11" Denis starts at $2600 + ~$300 shipping. He also has an insert which starts at $260 (not sure exact price for the double sided one he has). He's got the LED lights for $420, lid-leaves which start at $215, and the strake board which is $75. The stain is an extra $250. Cupholder $40, wineglass holder $40, counter holder $30, bin $60, acrylic bin $25, desk with shelf x2 $280.
So, all in all, to get that exact table with everything shown in the video, it would be at least $4600.
Geek'n'Son make some really fine tables. After having a Geek Chic table for the last six years or so, I finally got to see the Geek'n'Son Denis at GenCon last year. Of all the tables out there, Geek'n'Son are the only ones I would put in the same quality tier as Geek Chic. They're well-built, beautiful, offer similar options and similar aesthetics, and have a similar build quality.
That said, the pricing is very similar, too. So, if you're put off by Geek Chic's prices, you'll also be put off by Geek'n'Son's.
